I found an article that spoke about the benefits to blogging in the classroom. It stated that blogs can be an extension of a classroom, where discussions are continued and where every student gets and equal voice. Or it can be a place where new ideas are formulated through collaboration. Using blogs to facilitate group work is clearly appropriate and an excellent medium for student-centered learning. In addition to the usual benefits of group work, students using blogs seem to be more attuned to their assignment and to their group members.
